About David W Riccardi
I was born and raised in Toms River, NJ, attended the Rhode Island School of Design where I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography in 1980. I spent the '80's in Boston and the California Bay Area working primarily in commercial photo finishing labs. I attended graduate study at the Rochester Institute of Technology in the late '80's. In 1991 I began a very successful career in Educational Publishing leading the move to computer based construction of college text books and supplementary products. Today I work as a consultant to the publishing market specializing in e-Book creation, content management and digital workflow.
The artist never left me. In the last 10 or 11 years I felt a very strong internal pull to complete unfinished projects and to fulfill what had been my premature desire in the late '80's to move from silver halide based to digital photography.
